Call for investments in new capacities for wood processing capabilities

Content of the tender: Slovenian Ministry of Economic Development and Technology has published a Call for investments in new capabilities for wood processing capabilities, which will aid the transition to a climate-neutral society. The Call will finance investments that will provide capacities for wood processing and construction of wooden structures in a materially efficient, environmentally friendly way and accordance with the principles of the circular economy and the best available technology.

Am I eligible for funding? You are eligible to apply to the Call if you:

  • are an SME company,
  • have registered main or secondary activities in the areas of wood processing, manufacture of wood, cork, straw, and wicker, except furniture (SKD C16) or section C31 Manufacture of furniture (except class C 31.03 – manufacture of mattresses).

In addition to the above conditions, you must also meet the special conditions, specified in the Call documentation.

What are the eligible costs?

  • construction costs (preparatory groundwork, construction work, mechanical and electrical installations, and other construction-related activities,
  • costs of purchasing tangible fixed assets (purchase of new equipment, new machinery, production buildings; following the principles of material and energy efficiency or the use of the best available technology),
  • costs of purchasing intangible fixed assets (purchase of technology by purchasing patent rights, licenses, trademarks, knowledge, or unpatented technical knowledge) up to 20% of the value of the total eligible costs of the project,

How much money can I get? The amount of funds you can obtain depends on the size of the company and the area to which you belong (as  defined by the Regulation on the regional aid map for the period 2022-2027):
