Subject and Objectives: The target audience of the EU-funded project are users who are less technologically skilled or less familiar with technology. The aim of the project is to enable these users to use an artificial intelligence (AI) platform on demand. The AI platform contains enriched service functionalities adapted to these users:
- the possibility of interaction in the user’s language,
- horizontal linkage service for automatic detection of artificial intelligence assets, such as tools, datasets, AI experts, consultants, articles, courses, etc. This brings us closer to the user’s business needs. • vertical linkage service that will provide dimensioning and hardware provision through appropriate hardware providers (high-performance computing – HPC, cloud and Edge infrastructures).
Who is the call for? The call is intended for low-tech small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that do not have direct access or knowledge of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies. In order for providers to be able to test and improve the new services described above, selected companies will participate in a 2-month program within the StairwAI project, during which a feasibility plan for using the artificial intelligence platform will be defined. Participating companies will be connected to cloud service providers and artificial intelligence experts as part of the project.
Application requirements:

Low-tech companies must fall into one of the following stages of the AI technology awareness index: • Companies capable of recognizing AI applications and identifying the usefulness of certain AI applications (AI AWARE)
- Companies unaware of the existence of AI applications but have heard of AI (AI UNAWARE)
Which areas can be addressed within the project with the help of AI? As part of the project, companies can use AI to address challenges in the following areas:
